Jay Jochman
Operational Excellence Consultant

Jay Jochman has found a match with WMEP Manufacturing Solutions.

The Appleton native, who has been a resident of the Fox Valley for most his life, is WMEP’s newest consultant.

“I have a desire to help a wide variety of companies and their employees throughout the state while working with a highly regarded group of professionals,” Jochman said of his decision to accept a job with the organization.

Jochman brings an array of experience to his role with WMEP.

“I have worked in a large variety of industries and continually looked for more learning opportunities to advance my career,” Jochman said. “I feel that my continuous improvement knowledge base combined with my work experiences, as well as having a business degree, have allowed me to take on the consultant role with WMEP.”

Jochman will primarily serve as a consultant in WMEP’s Operational Excellence and Human Capital service lines.

“I’m at a stage where I know my trade very well, but I still have many goals that I want to achieve,” he said. “Working at WMEP enriches my desire to use my knowledge and skills in a variety of circumstances.”

Jochman’s career began more than 20 years ago when he worked as an engineering intern for several paper mills in the Fox Valley while working toward an industrial engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

His professional career has given him experience with industrial engineering, production supervision, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. He has worked in the paper, meat packaging and foundry industries and served as lean manufacturing coordinator at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.

He’s excited to bring his skills and experience to WMEP.

“The team feels like a family of professionals with a common goal,” Jochman said. “That’s difficult to find.”

In addition to earning an industrial engineering degree, Jochman received an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Jochman lives in Howard with his wife and young son. They are fond of camping, hiking, and biking together. He also enjoys hunting, caring for his pet parrots, wood working and making stained glass.
