Green House Gas Strategy And Reduction
~ How to Reduce Emissions in Your Operations ~
Are you tracking your Green House Gases(GHG), but not sure what to do next? Or achieved some traction and looking to develop a strategy? Perhaps, you’re looking for some inspiration? In this webinar, we will take a close look at one company, Sherwin William’s, journey over time to reduce GHG and how they plan to achieve new ambitious reduction goals.
Sherwin Williams GHG Strategy grows: Since 2009, SW has had a climate strategy focused on reducing our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, including emissions from our operations (Scope 1) and from the generation of purchased energy (Scope 2). In 2019, they added emissions data related to our upstream and downstream value chain (Scope 3).
In 2020, SW began aligning their climate strategy to reflect a science-based target approach, influenced by global efforts to limit global warming to well below 2.0 degrees Celsius. They adopted a new approach to better reflect and align with certain global efforts, including setting new GHG emissions reduction targets. Their goal is to reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 30% by 2030, compared with a 2019 baseline.
Cost: Free to members, $25 for non members

Making Sense of ESG
At the 2021 Annual Conference, we heard from Hillary Vedvig about the rise in interest in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) metrics. Her session led to a great deal of reflection on the overlap between ESG and sustainability. This webinar will investigate the overlap and highlight a number of companies’ incorporation of ESG into their sustainability work. Specifically, we’ll target the evolution of risk and the role of investors, examine best-in-class processes for tracking ESG metrics and risk and look at some real examples of how an interest in ESG affects reporting and disclosure. In a moderated discussion, we will hear how companies are adjusting to the rising trend of ESG.
WSBC founder Tom Eggert will moderate the conversation. Our Speakers include:
Lindsay Motl, Senior Manager, Sustainability and Compliance at Kohls
Jeanne Burns Frank, Environmental and Sustainability Program Manager at MG&E
Brenda Sargent, Environmental and Sustainability Program Manager at MG&E
Roxanne Sharif, Account Manager, Datamarn
