Once per week, every Wednesday beginning September 8th

Dates are: September 8, 15, 22 and 29th, 2021

Special Offer! Second attendee from the same company receives half-price admission with the purchase of a full-price admission.

Good leadership is not just characterized by the ability to motivate a group toward a common goal-it’s the ability to cross over from being a person employees HAVE to follow, to a person employees WANT to follow. Our Supervisor Skills course will help develop and refresh your skills as a leader and offer a renewed outlook on true relational leadership.

Companies are demanding more from their supervisors while promoting younger, less experienced leaders. Combine that with an influx of a younger, independent workforce; It is necessary for manufacturers to provide skills necessary to better communicate, motivate, and/or otherwise enhance supervisor skill sets.

Leaders maximize results by earning the respect of those they lead, reducing opposition from followers, and enlisting buy-in from their teams.

After attending this course, learners will recognize the tools needed to enhance their abilities as a supervisor.

The learner will be able to:

  • Modify their own personal leadership style for more effectiveness
  • Better relate to subordinates, peers and superiors based on the behavioral characteristics of all
  • Apply listening and communication skills to enhance information flow and increase department effectiveness and efficiency
  • Apply good time management principles to maximize available time by setting priorities

Join us for this four day workshop to learn how to enhance your skills and fill the gap with leadership development.

Learning Out Loud: Recruitment, Engagement, and Development of Women in the Workplace @ Sharon Lynn Wilson Center for the Arts (The Daub Studio Theater)
Sep 30 @ 11:30 am – 1:00 pm

Learning Out Loud: Recruitment, Engagement, and Development of Women in the Workplace

The “war for talent” is pervasive, with even top companies fighting to attract and retain talent in a competitive labor environment.

At the same time, executives in every industry are expressing a desire for a diverse and inclusive workplace, with hiring and retaining women existing as just one pillar in many I&D strategies. However, the data shows that this goal may be difficult for employers: nearly 3 million U.S. women have dropped out of the labor force in the past year alone (February 2021).

The war for talent simply cannot be won without a focused effort from organizations to recruit, engage, and develop women in the workplace.

We invite you to join us for a discussion on creating an environment that is desirable to women employees: flexible, connected, and professionally and personally fulfilling. We will focus on the stories of strategies that allow women to confidently remain in the workforce and provide a strong impact for clients, community, industry, and, ultimately, one another.

THIS PROGRAM WILL ADDRESS:

  • Identifying and removing barriers to retaining women in your organization
  • Creating a culture of engagement
  • Developing leaders
  • Action steps to keep women in the workplace
  • Our featured panelists will share their experiences both personally and within their workplace.

FEATURED PANELISTS:

  • Beth Dettman, Chief Financial Officer, M3 Insurance
  • Tyler Gudex, Executive Director, Eastcastle Place
  • Judy Gray, Chief Human Resources Officer, State Collection Service, Inc.
  • Kris Best, Chief Financial Officer, BVK

MODERATOR:

Jen Pino-Gallagher, Director of Food & Agribusiness, M3 Insurance

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

Leaders and decision-makers who are working to keep women in the workplace and at the table
Advocates for advancing women in the workplace
