The Journey to Great Leadership – Free Webinar

Good leadership is not just characterized by the ability to motivate a group toward a common goal, it’s the ability to cross over from being a person employees HAVE to follow, to a person employees WANT to follow.

A leader’s ability to motivate employees is an essential component to their success and impact in an organization. This webinar will introduce you to a practical approach to connect with and motivate your employees, while promoting trust and respect at an interpersonal level.  Motivating employees is just one of the many characteristics of an effective leader.

This webinar is a preview into WMEP’s Supervisory Skills workshop, the full workshop will provide participants with a comprehensive leadership toolbox and hands-on practice that will enhance the participants ability to connect with and lead team members. The Supervisory Skills workshop is designed to help develop and refresh your skills as a leader and offer a renewed outlook on true relational leadership.

Companies are demanding more from their supervisors, while promoting younger, less experienced leaders.  Combine that with an influx of a younger and more independent workforce; It is necessary for manufacturers to provide the skills and training needed to better communicate, motivate, and/or otherwise enhance a supervisor’s skill set.

Featured Speaker:  Elizabeth Aldana, Senior Consultant; WMEP Manufacturing Solutions – Elizabeth brings over 14 years of experience in manufacturing, including Engineering and Operations leadership, complex Project Management, New Product Development and Lean Six Sigma Operations. Elizabeth has worked for several small/mid-size manufacturers, including MRPC and Vesta, most recently she served as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Techniplas.

Please join us for this free webinar to learn a practical approach to connect with and motivate employees and enhance your leadership skills.  Register NOW

The Business Case for Water Stewardship – Free Webinar @ Online Webinar
Aug 19 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

The Business Case for Water Stewardship

How can your company face the myriad of sustainability, environmental, health and safety concerns that are out there?

The Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council’s (WSBC) mission is to advance sustainable principles and practices forward through the power of business. We support businesses and sustainability professionals through an array of programming, education, resources, and tools and are a catalyst for businesses looking to integrate sustainability into the fabric of their organization.

This webinar will discuss the business case for water stewardship and how to address water risk or water issues in your business.
We will discuss why water matters to your business, what risks you should be aware of and hear a case study from Green Bay Packaging.

Green Bay Packaging will share their water sustainability journey, including why they focus on water, how their program has evolved over time, and what metrics they focus on. They will share about the tools and frameworks that have helped them advance their water programs. They will also share the water sustainability features of their new mill.

Participants will learn more about water stewardship and how your organization can advance your water goals. We will also briefly touch on Alliance for Water Stewardship framework and certification, as well as other tools for you to use to get started.

Bring your water risk or stewardship questions to be a part of the discussion. This will be interactive, and there will 15 minutes or more to focus on your specific water-related needs, risks or questions.

AGENDA:

  1. The Business Case for Water Stewardship, Greg Gasper
  2. Green Bay Packaging Case Study, A Journey to Water Sustainability, Christa Kananen
