Austen Gross, Beckhoff Automation – Austen brings knowledge from a career in OEM control electronic supply both on the sales and engineering front. Austen has taken on a wide array of roles during his time in the automation industry that range from controls architecture development, coordinated motion programming, on-site commissioning and factory integration to business development and project management at the Fortune 100 level. As an OEM supplier, he has had experience in a variety of industries that include large scale mining operations, metal fabrication, bottling, medical devices and building automation to name a few. Thank you for your interest in our New North Summit which was originally planned for March 11th.  We know our annual summit is an event that our stakeholders look forward to for enriched in-person networking and regional updates.  While we are thankful for the progress that is being made to beat COVID, having our summit in-person on March 11th is not possible.  Therefore, we are excited to announce that our summit will actually occur over three virtual events and the large in-person event at Lambeau Field.  We will be  sending out additional information as each event is finalized, but I ask you to mark your calendars for the following important dates and times:

Join us as we take a closer look at sustainability reporting, analysis and certification programs and frameworks.  In this session, you will hear from three companies who actively use reporting, certification, and analysis to manage and communicate about sustainable practice in their company and with other companies.

The range of survey and reporting tools for sustainability is enormous. We will explore the strategic directions that organizations have taken to capture and communicate sustainable practice, meet customer and analyst expectations, and manage performance for business-critical sustainable practices.

Our panelists will also reflect on the use of information from sustainability information/certification frameworks to present their credentials credibly and clearly to consumers, investors, regulators, customers, suppliers and other interested persons.

Kevin Tubbs, Vice President and Chief Ethics, Compliance and Sustainability Officer for Oshkosh Corporation – Kevin Tubbs is the Vice President, Chief Ethics, Compliance & Sustainability Officer for Oshkosh Corporation. He is responsible for the development and implementation of ethics & compliance and environmental & sustainability processes and programs for Oshkosh Corporation’s worldwide operations. Prior to joining Oshkosh Corporation in 2012, Kevin held senior environmental management and sustainability positions at Ingersoll Rand Company, Trane Company, and American Standard. Kevin began his career at Exxon Corporation.

Kevin holds a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University and MS degrees in Engineering Management and Occupational Safety and Health from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Kevin also holds a certificate from the Wharton School’s Executive Development Program. For three years Kevin was the Mayor of Chatham Township, NJ during which time Chatham Township was named the “Best Place to Live in New Jersey” and was one of the first communities to receive Sustainable Jersey certification. Kevin is on the Advisory Board of the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council, the Advisory Board of the University of Wisconsin’s Master of Science in Sustainable Management program and the Board of Trustees of the Fox Cities Leadership Academy.
