How to Structure Your Sustainability Program for Success

Are you curious about how other businesses structure their sustainability programs or how does that structure support the integration of sustainability throughout their organization?

This webinar will highlight Green Master Program companies that have built sustainability success. The conversation will focus on how their programs are structured and how they use the Green Masters Program to support their success.

Each speaker will also share an example of a successful project or initiative, offering tips for how to move sustainability projects forward in your organization.

Lisa Bauer-Lotto, M.S., Corporate Director, Environmental & Sustainability, Green Bay Packaging

As Corporate Director of Environmental and Sustainability, Lisa leads strategic planning for Green Bay Packaging and is instrumental in directing environmental compliance, sustainability, and fiber certification programs for a paper company with five (5) product lines, 38 manufacturing sites in 15 states.

Captivated with learning and devoted to giving back to the community, she contributes to various national and state trade associations. Lisa is currently involved in the American Forest and Paper Association (AFPA), National Council Air and Stream Improvement (NCASI) and Wisconsin Paper Council, but has previously served on the following community and charity organizations: President/Board of Directors for Trees For Tomorrow, Brown County Solid Waste Board, City of Green Bay Water Utility Commissioner and Advisory Committee for Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) Environmental Engineering.

In her 29-year military, Captain Bauer held numerous leadership positions in the US Navy, as a Plans Operations Medical Intelligence Officer. She established the first U.S. Navy humanitarian aid mission to El Salvador, providing medical service to more than 7000 people; and lead planner on numerous joint military service exercises in country and around the world.

She is a detective at heart – exposing herself to new products and lifestyles, creating best practices and adapting to the evolving industry which allows her to successfully partner her B.S. in Chemistry-Business and a Master in Environmental Science at Green Bay Packaging.

Michelle Miller, Senior Sustainability & Product Stewardship Specialist, Appvion Operations, Inc.

Michelle is responsible for the overall development and implementation of company sustainability programs and objectives. Michelle is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and Sustainable Management. Her experience in occupational health and safety, environmental compliance, product stewardship, and marketing and supply chain support, provides a diverse and well-rounded proficiency in sustainability impacts. She is dedicated to business and community engagement through her active membership of the North East Wisconsin Sustainability Leaders Group (NEWS LG), involvement in event planning for the Sustainability Institute for Regional Transformations (SIRT) at UW-Oshkosh, as well as being the chair of the Events Committee for the Appvion Young Professionals Network.
