Cybersecurity Requirements for Federal Contractors

Description: The Georgia Tech Procurement Assistance Center (GTPAC) is co-hosting an online webinar, along with the Georgia Manufacturing Extension Program (GaMEP) on Cybersecurity Requirements for Federal Contractors. Federal Government contractors often work with and store some of the government’s most sensitive data. Federal Contractors, especially those who do work for the U.S. Department of Defense (“DoD”) face increasing regulatory obligations for protecting that data from cyber-attacks. This seminar will review the key rules and regulations that Federal Contractors must follow related to cybersecurity. The class will cover relevant DFARS clauses such as 252.204-7012, the NIST 800-171 cybersecurity requirements, and will provide the latest information available on the emerging Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) that DoD plans to roll out and require next year. This event is especially geared towards small businesses and manufacturers who are either currently doing business with DoD or who desire to do so in the future.
