The Wisconsin Profitable Sustainability Initiative was launched in April
2010 by the Wisconsin Department of Commerce and the Wisconsin
Manufacturing Extension Partnership (WMEP) to accelerate the adoption of
sustainable practices by small and midsize manufacturers.
Results
Over the
past year, program manager WMEP and a team of expert partners have
worked with 45 state manufacturers to identify and implement projects
targeting
energy, logistics and environmental improvements.

Carbon dioxide equivalents: 45.6 metric tonnes
Transportation: 10.8 million miles
Solid waste diverted from landfill: 11,245 tons
Air emissions: 83.7 tons
