2010 Economic Impact
Every year, WMEP customers are surveyed
by an independent firm to assess the economic impact of WMEP’s
services. During FY 2011, triggered a $130 million economic impact and helped to create and save 1,009 manufacturing jobs, according to results documented by clients
Results reported by 214 manufacturers during FY 2011 include:
- $83 million in increased and retained sales
- $16 million in cost savings
- $31 million in investment impact, including new plant and equipment
- 355 jobs created and 654 jobs retained
In addition, an analysis of the data projects a $3.8 million tax revenue benefit to the State of Wisconsin as a result of sales and jobs impacts.
